Green Schools
Our Green School Committee is working hard to earn our eighth Green Flag, which focuses on the marine environment . We are learning about how our actions on land can affect the oceans and sea life. The committee is encouraging everyone in our school to reduce plastic waste, recycle properly and to keep our local area clean so that litter doesn’t end up in the sea. We’re also planning art projects using recycled materials, and awareness campaigns to help protect marine animals. Together, we’re making a real difference for a cleaner, greener and bluer planet!
Active School
Our Active School is full of energy and enthusiasm! We love taking part in a wide range of sports such as cricket, GAA and tag rugby, which help us to stay fit, healthy and to have fun together! This term we are also participating in an exciting initiative called ‘Skip Around the World.’ In the challenge, one skip is equivalent to one kilometer, and the children are working hard to ‘travel’ to famous landmarks around the world- right from our school yard! Every day brings us closer to new destinations as we skip our way to fitness and fun!
